How Focused Training Can Transform Your Tennis Game in One Year?
Look, I’ve been coaching tennis for years, and I see the same story over and over again. You’ve got talented kids—really talented—who excel in the classroom but can’t find enough hours in the day to develop their tennis game. They’re stuck in this cycle where they’re good at tennis, maybe even very good, but they know they have another level in them that they just can’t reach with a few hours of practice here and there.
That’s exactly why I’m launching our Gap Year Training Program. Because some of you deserve the chance to find out just how good you can actually become.
Here’s What I Know About Potential
If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of those high-achieving students who’s always wondered “what if.” What if I could train like the pros do? What if I had the time to really focus on my game? What if I could get that extra year to develop before college?
I’ll tell you what happens: kids come here and gain a full point on their UTR. Sometimes more. That’s not just improvement—that’s transformation. And it happens because we’re giving you something most programs can’t: time, focus, and the kind of training intensity that actually moves the needle.
The Reality of Elite Development
You want to know what separates good players from great ones? It’s not talent—I’ve seen plenty of naturally gifted athletes plateau. It’s focused, consistent training at high volume. It’s playing 100 matches a year, not 20. It’s training four hours a day, not fitting practice around everything else in your life.
Our gap year program gives you exactly that. September through June, you’re living and breathing tennis improvement. Four hours on court daily. An hour of tennis-specific fitness. Weekend tournaments within 15 miles of our academy—because that’s what Southern California offers you. No weather cancellations, no indoor limitations, just consistent training in ideal conditions.
Why This Program Works
I’ve structured this program around one simple truth: if you want to compress two years of development into one, you need to train like it. That means:
Complete Immersion: You’re not juggling tennis with a dozen other priorities. Your job is to get better at tennis, and everything we do supports that goal.
Competitive Volume: Those weekend tournaments aren’t optional. You’ll play up to 100 matches during the program year. That’s more competitive experience than most players get in their entire junior career.
Professional Environment: This isn’t a summer camp. It’s a professional training environment where every day has purpose and every session builds on the last.
Boarding Experience: Living on-site means you’re surrounded by other dedicated athletes who share your commitment. It’s male students only for boarding, creating a focused training environment without distractions.
Who This Program Is For
This isn’t for everyone, and I’m not pretending it is. This is for the player who:
- Has Division I dreams and is willing to work for them
- Understands that real improvement requires real commitment
- Is ready to prioritize tennis development for a full year
- Wants to find out what their ceiling actually is
- Maybe you’re that academic star who never had time to fully develop your game. Maybe you’re the athlete who knows you have another gear but needs the right environment to find it. If you’re 17 to 20 years old and ready to commit to serious training, this program can change your trajectory.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
I’m only taking 20 players. That’s it. Because I know what works, and what works is giving each athlete the attention and training they need to reach their potential. More players means less individual focus, and I won’t compromise on that.
When you train with us, you’re not just getting more tennis. You’re getting a complete development program that addresses technique, fitness, mental toughness, and competitive experience. The kind of comprehensive training that produces measurable results.
Your Decision Point
Here’s the thing about potential – it has an expiration date. The window for making significant improvements in your tennis game isn’t infinite. If you’re considering a gap year, and you’re serious about finding out how good you can become, this program can give you that answer.
I’m not going to oversell this. It’s demanding. It requires commitment. But for the right player, it’s the difference between wondering “what if” and knowing exactly what you’re capable of achieving.
Before You Commit
Come to one of our camps first. See how we train, meet our coaching staff, and get a feel for the environment. This isn’t just about whether you want to join our program—it’s about whether you’re ready for the level of commitment it requires.
Because once you start, we’re going to push you to levels you didn’t know you had. And that’s exactly the point.
The 2025-2026 program year starts September 1st. Twenty spots. Players who are ready to find out what they’re truly capable of achieving.
Are you one of them?
