Southern California Tennis Academy’s full-time program is designed for serious junior players who aspire to earn NCAA Division 1 scholarships and/or play on the professional tour. SC Tennis Academy has a system of training that includes all of the following disciplines on a daily basis: high informative group tennis training with individual attention, daily sets play, competitive live-ball drilling, dynamic fitness training for speed and agility. Players will have school in the mornings from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the following available options: internet, independent study, or regular high school with early release. Players will have a lunch break from noon until 1:00 p.m. with small group tennis training from 1:00pm to 3:00 p.m. Players will then join the After-School players from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with on court or athletic field fitness from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m, and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. extended fitness on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
SC Tennis Academy gives players everything they need to perform at the highest level. In addition to all of the training, players will be competing on the Southern California Junior Circuit on the weekends with their personal coach attending all events on the SCTA calendar. Everyone will receive the attention he or she needs to become the player they’ve dreamt of being. Players can push each other and motivate one another as well as make the tennis enjoyable because of the social aspects. This type of training is both individual and group-the best of both worlds because you learn from other players as well. The SC Tennis Academy philosophy is that all players obtain the best in education and excellence in tennis. This is achieved by offering all academic options and our tennis training is guided and taught by Top Junior Developer Mitch Bridge and USC Men’s Head Coach Peter Smith, providing the best tennis training and curriculum. We know how to develop champion tennis players!
Go to a strong academic school in the mornings and train like a pro in the afternoons. Players can use on-line high school, independent study curriculum or attend a public or private high school. The local high school is the highly-acclaimed Los Alamitos High School, just a few minutes drive from the boarding house. In addition to morning school, players in the boarding house will have evening study hours. Transportation will be provided from the boarding house to school and tennis training.
